Working Principle

The drive mechanism rotates the valve stem 90° perpendicular to the flow path. A ball with a circular through-hole acts as the closure member. Two plastic seats are installed on either side of the ball to seal against leakage between the ball and body. The ball rotates with the stem to open or close the flow path.
