Working Principle
When air is present in the system, the air release valve brass rises along the pipeline and accumulates at high points. Since brass air valve is typically installed at system high points, gas enters the valve chamber. Increasing gas volume lowers the liquid level inside, causing the float to descend and open the venting piston to release air. As air is expelled, the liquid level rises, lifting the float until the vent piston closes when air is fully purged. Tightening the cap on top of the valve body closes the vent port. Normally, the cap should be in the open position.

Installation Guide
The brass air valve should be installed vertically at the system's high point. For hot water heating systems, install at the highest point of the pipeline system.
During installation, first tighten the connection seat, then tighten the valve body. After installation, loosen the small end cap to allow gas discharge.
For cleaning, first tighten the small end cap, then remove the valve body along with other components.
During disassembly, do not loosen the connection seat; the return seat will automatically move up to close the passage.
Before installation, check if the return seat and connection "O"-ring seal are properly assembled and undamaged to prevent post-installation leakage.
