Check Valve Industry Standards

The production and selection of check valves must strictly adhere to industry standards. Taking the national standard (GB/T) as an example, the standard clearly specifies parameters such as the material, pressure rating, sealing performance, and temperature resistance of check valves. For instance, check valves suitable for household pipelines typically need to meet medium pressure requirements (e.g., 1.6 MPa), and the valve seat material must be made of corrosion-resistant fluoroplastics to adapt to low-viscosity media such as water. Simultaneously, the standard also requires check valves to have zero or minimal leakage performance in the closed state to ensure system safety. Furthermore, the selection of check valves must consider the characteristics of different media (such as steam, oil, and gas). For example, saturated steam systems require high-temperature and pressure-resistant ball check valves, while oil systems require swing check valves with low flow resistance and good sealing performance.
